Vaastu lesson 2 : How to rectify Vaastu Problems at Home?

Lesson 2

How to rectify serious Vaastu problems at your home?

Vaastu Sastra for homes is known as Griha Vaastu. In Griha Vaastu, the following points are very important. Vaastu experts and classic texts say that if you rectify these minor problems, the Vaastu of your home will be improved.

1)
Griha Nabhi

It is theoretically the centre of gravity of the footprint of the building. By considering the length and breadth, it is the combined centre point of both length and breadth. This is for 2 dimentional concept only. For 3 dimentional concept, the centre of gravity of the Volume of the building has to be considered.

In most of the Vaastu safe houses the central point shall be free. This means that this point is not touched by a wall or a beam. But in some houses there will be two bays (rows) of equal size. ie. 10 ft each or 12 ft each. Then naturally, the centre point shall lie on the central wall. This is why the old Asarins (senior vaastu experts) instruct that in two bay buildings, the width of the rooms shall not be the same. One should be slightly larger than the other. So there is no chance of the centre point shall loaded with the wall or beams. As per the mythology, the centre point is the Nabhi (naval) and this area is very soft and vulnerable. So this area must be kept free or kept open.

In 3 bay houses, it never happens even though the room widths are equal. In 3 bay buildings, if the centre segment is open to sky, that structure is known as Chatussala (Nalukettu). This is an excellent Vaastu form.

How to correct this problem ?

a) Add one more bay or one room shall be extended as per the instructions of the Vaastu expert to shift the centre point away from the centre wall.

b) One wall shall be demolished and reconstructed as per the advice of the experts. Here you may need to consult an Engineer also.

c) In FengShui, some remedies are available by virtually increasing the room size with the help of Mirrors.

d) Some pyramid experts claim that this can be cured using the Pyramids.

2)
Vaastu Mandala

Vaastu purusha is the demon who was defeated by the Gods. He was allowed to take rest in the earth. If somebody who constructs houses not as per Vaastu norms and regulations, he will be disturbed and will start making troubles. He is Omni present in the Earth. At the same time, he is equally present in a small plot also. Similar is the case within a room and a table over there.

For Vaastu safe buildings, the boundary of each Vaastu entity shall be perfect and clear. For perfect Vaastu Mandala square shape is the best. Rectangular is the next. Therefore Vaastu Mandala shall be any one of this.

How you can rectify this defect?

This could be rectified very easily. The Vaastu Mandala should be fixed and this should be clearly demarcated with the help of compound of wall or hedges or ridges.

If the shape of the land is irregular, be sure that the Northeast or the Southwest is not truncated. Northeast is the location of the head of the Vaastu purusha. Similarly southwest is the location of the legs. The other corners which represents the hands may are of less importance. So remember if the North East or South West is truncated due to the specific shape of the land, then by resizing the plot boundaries virtually, the regular shape may be achieved. This increases the Vaastu of the plot.

Similarly in large plots, it is advised to make a specific vaastu Mandala around your building. By doing this all other un noticed factors will not affect the Vaastu of the building.

3)
Auspicious measurements

As per Vaastu all measurements are not auspicious for a building. As per Astrology, the prominent factor which controls Vaastu, all measurements have a several number of qualities. They are broadly called Ashtavarga properties of measurements.

For details of this and to read my presented paper on this subject clicks here
.

Among the 8 qualities, the AGE of more importance as far as homes is concerned.

Balya (Child hood), Kaumara (adolescence), Yauvana (Youth), Vardhakya (elderliness) and Marana (Death) are the 5 categories in this. Among the 5, Kaumara and Yauvana are treated as Uttama (best), Balya and Vardhakya are treated as Madhyama (good) and Marana is treated as Adhama (worse).

Marana measurements shall not be adopted for any room, house or a Vaastumandala.

In some parts of India this measurement is arrived from the area of the building. In most of the states including Kerala this measurement is derived from the Perimeter of the building. Some complicated arithmetical calculations keeping this measurement as a basis will give you the age factor.

How to avoid this problem?

It is better to avoid this problem at the stage of design of the houses. Earlier, the Silpins were capable to design buildings based on the safe Vaastu calculations. But recently the western style educated Indian Engineers are not capable to design structures based on this due to their ignorance. A lot of ordinary people are suffering due to these defects.

Since this is a more complicated matter and involved with other Ashtavarga factors like profit, loss, vara, thithi etc.

I would rather recommend a Vaastu expert to handle your problem.
